That the
association shall
be known as: The
Portsmouth HF
Rambling
Club.
The aims and
objectives of
the club are to provide for the healthy enjoyment of leisure and to
encourage the love of the open air.
Membership shall be
open to
all who are in sympathy with the aims and objectives of the club.
Children under 16 year of age must be accompanied by a responsible
adult.
The annual
subscription
shall be such figure as the AGM shall decide, payable on 1 November
each year.
Members whose
subscriptions
are not paid before 31 December shall be considered to have resigned
from the club.
An Annual General
Meeting
shall be help in November and an audited statement of
accounts made up to 30 September, shall be submitted to the meeting.
The affairs of the
Club
shall be managed by a Committee elected at the Annual General Meeting.
The Committee shall consist of a President, a Vice-President, a
Secretary, a Treasurer, a Ramble Secretary, a Social Secretary and
three others.
The Officers of the
Club and
all members of the Committee shall be elected at the AGM by those
present.
The Committee shall
be
empowered to fill any vacancy that may arise amongst its members.
Any member of the
Committee
not attending three consecutive meetings without an apology, shall be
considered to have resigned from the Committee.
The Committee may
refuse
membership or cancel the membership of any person whose conduct is
detrimental to the interests of the Club.
All arrangements
for a
ramble are the responsibility of the leader and members taking part in
any ramble do so at their own risk.
Dogs may be brought
on
rambles providing they are kept under strict control, the leader has
been contacted and is in agreement.
In the case of
winding up
the Club, the assets shall be realised and the proceeds, after
liabilities have been met, shall be distributed as determined by a
General Meeting.
Notice of Motion to
amend
any Rule of the Club shall be delivered in writing to the Secretary at
least 14 days before a General Meeting.
The decision of the
Committee on any matter not provided for in these Rules shall be final.
